Cinnamon – Securely Managing Communication Between Control Units in Electric Vehicles

Project details

Cinnamon: Inspired by the Cinnamon Star – Developed for the Star of the Future

The Cinnamon project, developed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, is creating digital solutions to make communication between control units in modern electric vehicles transparent and traceable. Electric vehicles consist of numerous control units that continuously exchange data and control safety-critical functions.

Cinnamon helps development teams to analyse, document and validate these complex communication structures. This ensures that even extensive signal connections in modern vehicle architectures remain clear and function reliably.

Transparency and Control in Complex Vehicle Architectures

The platform replaces confusing tables and manual documentation with a centralised environment for visualising and analysing ECU communication. Network graphs and structured data models help users to understand the relationships between signals and systems more quickly.

  • Centralised analysis and documentation of ECU communication
  • Visualisation of complex signal connections in vehicle networks
  • Greater transparency and traceability in development processes
